Travelling On A Budget

By Poppy Hill

Cheap travel does not necessary mean that you travel in the back of a lorry or by hitch hiking. Canny travellers will find a way of reducing their costs by searching around for the best deals which may include half price plane tickets. Don't tell the other passengers they may be jealous.

Meeting new holiday makers or perhaps travelling on your own to a new country either way have you thought about booking yourself into a travel hostel. They are not what they were years ago and have came along way since 20 or 30 years ago.

Renting a car is an ideal way of travelling around and would work out inexpensive if there are a few of you travelling together heading in the same direction. Alternatively there are good bus and train systems available you may perhaps consider using any one of them.

There are two ways at looking at travelling on the cheap and they are either to find a good system for finding cheap travel or to try and make the trip a little more exciting by making up your itinerary plans.

One good way of keeping airline costs down when travelling would be to stop off at a city mid point to your final destination or try looking looking online for other alternatives which could offer you a great deal by taking two planes rather than one. This may sound long winded by could save you hundreds possible a thousand pounds or dollars and you will begin to see the attraction of a stop off.

Book a long stay in a winter sun resort not only will this make you feel great over the cold winter months back home but also save on utility bills from back home. Good offers include being away for anywhere up to 50 days at a time but can also include short breaks which are often reduced in price compared to the summer when the resorts are at their busiest. Have a look out for any deals going and be sure to have your bag packed all through the winter.

Think of holidaying in a less popular destination could result in a holiday which costs you less than your normal busy popular holiday. Investigating a little further than the brochure could result in you finding a fab location away from the crowds and the hefty prices instead you could be staying at a resort which is quieter and half the price of other resorts.

Staying with friends or family is a great way of saving on accommodation but also travelling cheaply is by doing what the locals do and travelling on the local transport will save you lots of money rather than paying for taxis all the time. Hopefully you enjoy your holiday and the tips.
