Comparison Of Natural Sun Tanner And Artificial Products

By Haywood Hunter

The human body is composed of many organs that function together to make a healthy person. The largest of these organs is the skin. Its functions include protecting the other organs in the body from harm caused by daily activities. The skin itself needs protection against various elements especially the environment. This is what has contributed to the debate whether people should use skin tanning products or rely on sun tanner. These techniques are aimed at protecting the skin against harmful rays from the sun.

Various manufacturers have come up with solutions to replicate the effects of sunlight on the human skin. The main selling point of a sun tanner is that the sun could have various serious side effects on the skin that could last a lifetime. The ultraviolet rays of the sun have been found to cause development of skin cancer. Therefore, the manufacturers convince consumers that their products enable them to avoid this risk.

Many people have much trust in natural products and this is a fact that manufacturers use to market their products. They indicate on the labels of the sun tanner that the product is made from pure natural product. They are made of animal products or plant products. These are popular because they are easily integrated into the body systems without any side effects.

There is not much difference between the products on the market apart from the brands from different manufacturers. They all have the same active ingredient called dihydroxyacetone. It has been approved by federal authorities after much research proved it does not have harmful side effects. It darkens the skin by reacting with the amino acids in the acid.

The limited knowledge that most consumers have is quite harmful to them since it may cause them to make the wrong decisions. However, the fact is the natural sun could potentially lead to many problems for people who suffer prolonged exposure. Its harmful effects include breaking down the DNA in the skin cells. Since most skin products only contain DHA additives, which have been approved by the FDA, there is not much evidence to support people to be worried about using the creams.

Among the benefits achieved by using artificial tanning is that one can get a perfect tan in any season. Naturally, one has to wait for the summer to get a natural suntan. Unlike the unpredictable effects of a suntan, the creams and sprays do not cause effects like aging of the skin or skin cancer. However, those who use tanning booth for the whole body should have protective gear for their eyes. Otherwise, they risk damage to these organs.

Most countries have legislation prohibiting public nudity. Though some have set aside nude beaches, these are not enough to cater for the needs of consumers. When wearing a bikini to tan, limited parts of the body are exposed to the sun. This causes uneven tanning. However, a booth enables one to tan while naked and therefore achieve evenness. The sun tanner is able to work on the whole body surface.

People have various options when looking for sun tanner products. The market is very competitive and brands from different manufacturers compete for clients. One therefore needs to do market research to determine the most favorable options. The internet also provides an avenue for one to purchase such products.
