Insights On A Catholic Bible Blog

By Shawn Hunter

The Catholic church is defined by a 73 books Scripture that has guidelines on how to live a better Christian life. This publication provides the typical believer with words of wisdom regarding spirituality too. The bishops and priests are the spiritual heads who guide believers while offering further insights on the Bible. If any changes are to be made, they are supposed to be contacted first. For a concerned reader, a Catholic Bible blog is your number one source of knowledge.

The need to translate the Holy Book into several languages arose way back then as missionaries were spreading the gospel. The good news was to be heard by everyone regardless of their race, age, sex and color. The church is a unity of believers all with one faith focused on following the teachings of the scriptures. The apostles who existed before we were born, played a bigger role in ensuring that souls receive the wise words of the creator.

For one to write something spiritual, he or she has to draw inspiration from The Lord Almighty. This guidance can be reflected on the choice of words and the sentimental value they have. The original version of the Bible was written in Hebrew then later translated by Jews. Translations continue to exist as need arises, therefore, this process needs fluency and prior knowledge of the linguistics originally used. Caution is necessary since accuracy is the ultimate objective of this endeavor.

Catholic scriptures are distinct from protestant ones mainly because of additional books. The grammar based on the translation made in the past, is also different. There are also certain Holy nouns that are frequently used inappropriately. The Jews limited the application of the term Yahweh for it carries a deeper meaning. In contrast, the word can be found almost everywhere as far as the Roman faith is concerned.

The product of this all is that there is a big difference between the English version of particular text and the ancient one. Modern writers are struggling to ensure that this gap is bridged by reproducing books that conform with the past editions. However, there is the writing being used today that reflects everything from the old editions which were in Greek. The Anglicans employ this type in their day to day devotions and preaching.

Planning has begun to ensure the translation process will be a success. A huge amount of money has been set aside to fund this activity that will see hundreds of people employed. This is a millennium goal put up by the anointed men who have sacrificed their parenthood lives to serving the Lord. They are usually guided by the Holy Trinity in all their endeavors. According to the Scriptures, a great reward awaits them in heaven. Indeed, they are blessed and will forever continue to spread the word of the Lord.

In summary, the main reason why the Catholic Bible differs from others was brought about by translation errors by the Jews. They mistranslated the Hebrew text to a language known as Septuagint.

Judaism revisions were later made on the same and this is what the Protestants currently use. The Catholic and Orthodox churches stuck to the Septuagint edition and this is the main reason why they have additional books.
