The Benefits Of Bed Bug Dog MA To Deal With The Manace

By Martha Brown

Pests are always an aggravating nuisance. Among pests that people detest the most are bed bugs. Once this bug infests a household item, it propagates rapidly throughout the house in a very short period of time. According to experts, Cimex lectularius is the species of the common bed bug typically infecting a house. These reddish brown-colored parasites live in the clutter of the bed, pillows, sofas, furniture and luggage. There are instances where bugs have even been found in public transportation vehicles and near the nests of birds and animals. However, with bed bug dog MA, this should not be a bother.

Interestingly, it is very difficult to notice and detect the presence of bugs. Small blood stains on the pillows and bed are some of the common signs which indicate the presence of these parasites. This parasitic bed bug lives on human blood or the blood of warm-blooded animals such as dogs or cats. The bug bite can cause rashes and allergies.

Growing to full size of only 4 to 5 millimeters, the adult version of this parasitic insect is light brown to reddish-brown in color, and is flattened and oval-shaped. It has a segmented abdomen, which gives it a banded appearance. It is commonly mistaken for other insects such as lice or carpet beetles, but they move like ants when they are warm and active. Just like true bugs, the common bed bug also emits a characteristic foul odor when crushed.

Unfortunately, dogs are a relatively new phenomenon and there may be fewer than 200 in operation in North America today. Without question, these numbers are growing, and in many larger communities, citizens are likely to find at least one pest control company that uses dogs for detecting bed bugs, along with other house pests as well.

The main advantage of bed bug detection dogs is that they are a capable of narrowing down the infected area with a great deal of specificity. For early stage infestations, and infestations in very large buildings, this often means that the pest treatment can be localized to a much smaller area.

Since the world has become a smaller place travelers are unwittingly bringing the bugs in with their bags. Bed Bugs are found in all kinds of dwellings, apartments, houses dormitories, ships and even hospitals. The reason they are so hard to eradicate is that they are so hard to spot.

Once detected, the pest control agencies use the appropriate protocols to combat the menace. The other method now used to exterminate these bugs involves application of heat in the areas of the building where bugs are detected.

Infestations are on the rise in most major cities. With the increase in World travel, people are returning home with unexpected guest and are infecting their homes, offices and apartment buildings with this nasty house guest. The solution to the problem is regular k9 inspection and a sensible use of pesticides to rid infected areas. Dogs are a great solution to this growing problem.
