Tips To Rent The Best Limousine

By Martha Valenzuela

When you have a big event coming up, it's crucial to find the limo that can make your time a memorable one. Whether you're looking to entertain friends or family for a night of fun, or you want to impress colleagues with the luxury of quality transportation, here are some ways you can ensure the best limo experience for you and your guests.

Create Your Own Occasion

During peak seasons in the spring and summer, limo service can be outrageously expensive. If you're planning on putting on an event that you want a limo to be a part of, consider planning the event at an unusual time. Not only does this help create sense of uniqueness, it also helps you save money. Most limo services charge far less for their services when business gets slow in the late fall and winter months.

Furthermore, consider renting the limo on a weeknight rather than the weekend. For obvious reasons, weekend rentals are far more expensive. And let's be honest here - you can have just as memorable of a time with your friends or family on a Thursday night as you can on a Saturday night.

Calculate Per Capita Price for Service

Try to create a night with some of your friends, as the limousine fee is not per person at most companies. They'll charge you based upon the size of the car, so you want to get as many people in there as possible to bring down the price per person. This can make a night out in a limousine surprisingly affordable.

You can also request that you NOT be set up with the newest company limo. Older models are usually just as nice but are sometimes less expensive.

Ask for the Total Price

It's important to note that you may be charged more than the hourly rate when all is said and done. You may also be expected to help cover gas costs, pay tolls and tip the driver for his services for the night. When you get a quote, make sure that it includes a rough estimate of all involved expenses so you can plan appropriately.

It never hurts to ask whether additional amenities are available, such as snacks or complimentary beverages for your guests.
