Different Types Of Transport Available At Luton Airport

By Poppy Hill

Most people who are going on holiday to the UK land at any one of the London airports which are on offer to the public. Arrival airport depends on where you original flight has taken off. One of the busy airports in the area is Luton which is only a short distance away from the capital and can be reached by driving along the M1 motorway.

Travellers landing at Luton airport have several modes of transport to choose from . Travellers unsure of driving in London perhaps would consider taking the train into the centre of the city. The closest station is located a short distance away with shuttle buses being available around the clock each day dropping passengers off at the railway station in Luton Airport Parkway.

Travellers who are perhaps tired after their long flight can stay over in Luton city centre by using the train station which has a frequent service into the city. Passengers can then use another service for any follow on travel journeys to other parts of the UK including London which is only a short distance away.

A fabulous mode of transport is the bike. As the path ways around the airport are virtually traffic free you will not be bothered by the car fumes or looking over your shoulder all the time. If bikes are not your thing perhaps you may consider taking a bus as this can be taken from almost any of the stops around the area leading up to the terminal. There are a number of different stops in the city centre and also in London city which passengers can take the bus into and alight once they arrive.

Car rental is also available to book from the airport. You can even return your rental car back to this depot even if you have not collected your car from here. In busy periods through out the year you are advised to book your rental before you travel rather than wait until you arrive. The reason being the cars maybe sold out and you are then left stranded at the airport with your family with no means of transport. Always book early when you are on holiday within the UK.

Anyone who is travelling with a passenger who has special needs can relax as there are airport facilities to cater for their needs. Contact the airport's customer service before you arrive to arrange any service for your relative such as wheelchair access or help with a passenger who has visual disability. Which ever transport option you prefer there are plenty of choices for you to select.
