Many people are drawn to these beautiful islands not only because of the employment prospects but also because of the high standard of living and friendly welcome. Even those with young families can find a great job and give their children the advantage of growing up on a tropical island.

The islands have long been a center for the oil industry and this provides many jobs to people from all over the world. Most people already have a connection to the industry and are looking for the chance to experience a very different way of life. There is nothing like getting up in the morning to enjoy warm sunshine and the prospect of spending a delightful evening after work on the beach.

The islands are well known for their involvement in the oil industry and this provides a huge number of jobs. Those with previous experience are able to apply for the skilled jobs, which are constantly in demand. Even someone with no experience can get an entry level position and work their way up the ladder. Taking some preliminary courses is also a good idea to help the new candidate to faster promotions.

Internet technology is also a big employer on the islands. Despite their remote location and laid back way of life they certainly have not been left behind in the new technology revolution. People are just as involved with the latest research and development as anywhere in the world. Much of the day to day communications take place on line making this one of the fastest growing industries.

New construction is big business on the islands. Each year many new buildings and homes go up. There are many excellent opportunities for work in the construction industry. These range from project managers and architects to laborers and electricians. Some of these jobs run on a short term contract, whilst others are more permanent.

Hotels and resorts also need staff on a regular basis. It is often a good idea to submit a resume listing all experience and previous positions. There are vacancies for everything from life guards and sports instructors, to maids and servers. Some jobs are seasonal and will only run for the duration of the busy summer months. Others are permanent positions that offer long term employment and opportunities for promotion.

One of the fastest growing fields on the islands is real estate. There is a growing need for experienced agents and property managers. They often take care of rental properties for owners who live elsewhere. This can be a great job for anyone who likes a fast paced and challenging environment.

Education also provides many jobs in Trinidad and Tobago. The islands always need good teachers, ranging from the elementary level all the way to college and vocational instructors. Anyone interested in moving to the islands will have plenty of careers to choose from that are well paid and rewarding.
