Sightseeing In Hong Kong

Hong Kong is the perfect place to be a tourist in China. There are so many sights to see when backpacking, especially if you happen to be doing so on a budget. Whether your interests lie in the cultural, natural or adventurous aspects of the region, there is sure to be something to make your trip worthwhile.

Let's have a look at some of the top sights in Hong Kong:

The skyline in Hong Kong is epic. It's widely regarded as the number one skyline on the planet, eclipsing even New York and Singapore. You'll want to check out an awesome view of Hong Kong and the best places to do that are the Peak, Tsim Sha Tsui and Kowloon waterfront. Amazing city!

Over on Lantau Island check out the Big Buddha! This is a major sight and really needs to be seen. Backpackers on a budget can hike up to it, while a cable car is also an option. Views are immense and this is a top tourist spot. Tourists from all over the world love it here.

For a taste of nature in the bustling city, head over to Nan Lian Garden. This location is often on top ten lists of things to see in Hong Kong. It has also been called the city's most beautiful spot. At three and a half hectares, the garden is inspired by the Jianshouju Garden found in Shanxi Province. Nan Lian has been open to the public since 2006.

Hong Kong also has a massive park. The main one of Hong Kong Island is called Hong Kong Park. Here you can see wildlife and nature mixed together. There are birds and butterflies. There are also trees and even a fake waterfall. Once you get out to this place you'll know how easy it is to escape the mega busy city that lies beside it.

Hiking wise, Hong Kong also offers a lot. The most famous of these is the dragon's back hiking trail. This offers a good workout for the body and also amazing views. Take your camera, take some water and food and savour these epic views of this cool city. You'll love it.

In short, get yourself out to Hong Kong when you tour Asia as it is a great city with such a wide variety of things to do.
