Easily Mounting Doorking Gate Operators

By Marci Glover

Access to gates is now made easy by using an intercom or a keypad that comes with the various operating devices. Not very different from garage door openers, in fact their installation processes are rather similar. The Doorking gate operators unlike other operators is designed to operate vehicular swing gates and is commonly used in residential or commercial settings.

Just like any other job, installing gate operators requires you to have certain tools that will help you facilitate the job smoothly. These are some of the items that are needed when it comes to installing these operators; staple gun, PVC pipe, shovel, power drill, a flat-head screwdriver, an electric wire for outdoor use and to finish it off some extra time. During such a process there is a high chance of things getting a little dirty which is why you need to dress in the correct attire or around the house clothes in case you do not have the attire.

The operators installation processes are not that different from other processes in that you need to have the correct tools to help you with the work. Here are some of the tools that are required; an electric wire for outdoor use, a flat-head screwdriver, power drill, shovel, staple gun, PVC pipe and enough time to get the work done. The right kind of dressing should also be considered because the work involves interacting with dirt, around the house clothes should be used if the correct attire is not available.

When you have all these, then you are set to get it installed. To begin with, you need to identify a spot for your control box because of the holes you will drill through your fence purposes of attaching it. The arm should then be attached to the control box, which is dependent on the style of your fence.

From this point it is necessary to refer to the installation manual that is provided with the operator. A thin trench with a depth not more than a foot and not less than 9 inches should be dug taking note that the trench should begin from the breaker panel and end at the gate. The PVC pipe should then be placed inside the trench with the electric pipe passing through it. All this should be done with the power switch off.

The wires can then be connected to the control box, which should also be done when the power switch is off. The sensor should then be attached to the fence in order for it to be clear and free from any potential damage.

Stapling should be done to the wire from the sensor so that it does not become loose. You have now completed the installation process and the only thing left for you to do is test the gate operator and see how good you are. A job well done will close and open the gate with ease.

This thus makes it pointless to hire someone to do the job for you because you are also capable of installing your gate operator perfectly just by following the instructions mentioned above. Generally, what people should know is that these are an option that they can get so that they benefit from the advantages that they come with.
