Louisiana is a fine state to live within if a person is young or old. Unfortunately many of the older citizens in Hammond, LA may face nursing home negligence if they are not careful. This matter has been going on for many years and people within society are very ignorant about this particular subject.
A certain granddaughter who called this place her home was willing to let her friendly grandmother live at her house. The grandmother did many things for the young girl's family and she was well loved by the children. One day things really changed when the older woman became ill and needed additional help. She was taken to a place that had a nice staff and other older residents.
The older lady settled into her comfortable room which would now serve as her new home. She was given three meals each day and the team of nurses would usually give her a bath every night. Things were going quite well for the first few weeks until the old lady fell out of her bed. When this event happened she had broken her hip and was unable to do much of anything.
She could hear the young nurses cursing at her under their breath each time they entered into the room. They would often push and hit her on many occasions but there was nothing that she could do about this situation. The senior woman could still feel the hot soup that was purposely spilled on her lap. She would also go for days without having a good bath.
The selfish granddaughter who had placed her in this environment only visited the old lady once a month. She could not pick up on any of the warning signs that were given to her when she did come to visit. Anyone could tell that the staff members were able to put on a good deceptive act since this older woman could not voice her own opinions anymore.
The younger woman was satisfied with this facility and she continued to let her grandmother reside there. She had no idea about the horrors which were happening during all hours of the day. The male assistants at this place were just as cruel as their female workers. One attendant cut one of his patients on purpose while he was giving him a shave.
At night the orderly was taking drugs within the laundry room. This horny male would also meet up with one of the nurses at this place in order to have sex. While this was going on many of the residents were being raped or defecating their beds. The entire facility needed cleaning during the daytime since no one bothered to change the patient's sheets at night.
Unfortunately this older grandmother passed away and the other residents were rescued by the state of Louisiana. Fortunately the state was also able to arrest many of the male workers who were also raping the patients. Things are now quite different at this particular facility.
