People living in America know that there are so many stories that parents tell to their children before sending them off to bed. Some of these writings come from wholesome books for kids which is really great. Whenever a young person needs to hear an uplifting writing their parents will easily grab a book called "Pippi Longstocking.
Pippi is a young lady who is quite fearless and she does not care for any adult people hanging around her. She lives with several animals who have been her friends for a long time. On the other hand there is a boy named "Pinocchio" who likes to cause trouble for himself and anyone else who is around him.
One lady living in Sweden knew she had a hit on her hand once she created the character of "Pippi Longstocking." This devilish little red haired girl was always finding herself in the most unusual situations during her lifetime. Even American children idolized Pippi since she was the type of person who would pursue her hopes and dreams without hesitation.
She did not have a mother but Pippi did indeed have a great big daddy who loved her very much. He could not stay home with her all of the time since he worked all over the world. Pippi was lucky enough to meet and become friends with Annika and Tommy during her stay in the village. These three children learned how to travel to different places on their own. Tommy and Annika's parents had great faith in the small red headed child who had become a role model to their children.
In one story people are finally able to meet Pippi's father when her and the two children seek out to find him. Unfortunately he had been kidnapped by other men who displayed criminal behavior. The red headed freckled faced girl then fights all of these men and finally rescues her father. There is also a social worker involved within these stories and she is constantly trying to have Pippi placed in the foster care system.
A dear sweet old gentleman lived in a small village all alone and he wanted to have companionship. He had always wished for a son of his own and had carved a wooden boy. The statue had come to life after one magic moment which happened during the night. His was named "Pinocchio" and he turned out to be a naughty little lad who could not tell the truth.
Many bad boys within the area influence the wooden lad to run away with them to a place called Pleasure Island. This is one location that is both evil and quite magical. When this young man was first created he was a self centered doll that loved to cause heartache.
