Ideas For An Amazing Graduation Event

By Elba Fenwick

Once the names have been announced and the graduation caps tossed into the year, it's time for another time-honored graduation tradition - the grad night festivities. A great party filled with great friends, family and plenty of good food, is an excellent way to celebrate this momentous occasion.

When you are planning the details of your party, be sure to pay special attention to the dessert table. One great option would be to order one, or several, varieties of Chocolate Pizza. Chocolate Pizza Company even has a special graduation pizza that looks just like a graduation cap complete with a tassel. You can customize the writing on this unique Chocolate Pizza to say the graduation year or perhaps "Congrats!" or another sentiment.

In addition to the graduation pizza, it might also be wise to consider ordering a few other custom Chocolate Pizzas so that there is plenty for all of your guests. The staff at Chocolate Pizza Company can customize a dark chocolate or milk chocolate pizza with any message and even further adorn the confection with nuts or candies.

While some guests probably would be content to eat Chocolate Pizza throughout the evening, you will need to serve plenty of savory dinner foods as well. At these types of parties, it is fun for guests and the host to be able to mix and mingle, so serving a buffet just makes sense. Fill it with any type of foods, you can even have a potluck or perhaps serve the favorite foods of each graduate attending the party. It also can be easy to stick with one specific culinary genre, such as Italian or Mexican. You also could simply serve finger foods such as mini sandwiches and appetizers and some pasta salads.

Decorate the buffet table with colorful tablecloths that represent the colors of your child's high school or college. At either end of the table, place vases with flowers dyed in the school colors or perhaps balloon bouquets. Make sure the plates, napkins and utensils also feature school colors.

Another fun decoration for your event would be to hoist up giant balloons featuring the graduation year. You can even hang these over the buffet. In addition to balloons, streamers and flowers, it can be fun to decorate with pictures that commemorate every age and stage of your child's life. If you invite many other classmates, put up pictures of their lives as well. A bulletin board can feature all of your guests' baby pictures, and guests can try figure out who's who as they enjoy appetizers, Chocolate Pizza and other food items.
