So you want to get a party going but you are not sure how to go about doing it. That is exactly the time when you need some drinking games! Most of the best drinking games are easy to get going and simple to play. All you typically need are things like a deck of cards, some balls and/or empty cups. There are drinking games for just two people all the way up to games for an unlimited number of people. In fact, the majority of drinking games are designed with groups in mind.

Drown the Clown

One of the most popular fun drinking card games you can play with your friends lists as Drown the Clown. You need an even number of players. Deal the players a face down card, and turn it over with at the count of three. If one of the player's cards has the same number or value as the others, then point at the other person as fast as they can and shout "clown!" Who said the word has to take the first drink. If a player shouts the word then points at someone who does not match with their card,they two drinks. It is one of the best fun drinking games with cards because the rules change to include specific drinks and number of other things.

To play, pick a word that no one is allowed to say. A player who says that word, has to drink. Pick common words and watch people stumble over their words. Pick something like 'it' or 'so' and watch the fun start. You can ban words such as yes, no and maybe.Start asking players truth or dare questions and see how quickly they trip up or surprise you with intriguing answers. It is not always negative but a mix.

The simplest variation on this game is to decree that there is a certain word that no one can say if someone says the word then that person has to take a drink. It is a lot more fun when you choose a common word and watch everyone trying to avoid saying that word. Choose a word such as "it" or "so" and then watch chaos and lots of drinking ensue. To make it more fun, ban words such as "yes" or "no" and then combine the word game with another game that involves a lot of "yes" or "no" questions.
