The Environmentally Friendly Roofing NH Systems

By Patrick Campbell

The roof is an essential part of a building. It serves the purpose of protecting the residents from direct sunlight and other weather phenomena likely to fall from the sky. They are constructed using different materials. However, they should be made in a way that does not harm the ecosystem. That would entail using environmentally friendly roofing NH materials. There are numerous options to look at while trying to achieve the same.

Cool roofs are one of the many options. This consists of mixing white glue and white gravel to form a mixture that is laid to reflect direct ultra violet rays. Its advantage is that air conditioners need not be used since the heat is prevented from penetrating the building. Such a system reduces the need for having coal powered technology to generate power.

Shingles can be constructed from wooden material. Such a method entails the use of an organic variable yet posting outstanding durability. They exhibit the capability that recycling is possible when due time is reached. The life expectancy of wood is prolonged since the original pieces could still be reclaimed.

Recyclable materials can form metallic shingles when assembled together. The replaced shingles can still be reused once removed from the roof. Metal is a material that exhibits implacable durability. Small amounts of heat are only able to penetrate such while the rest is reflected away. This system ensures minimal expenditure on energy. A granite coating brings about the aspect of addition of aesthetics once applied over existing composites.

The advantage of using clay tiles is the fact that they are recyclable. They have built a well-known reputation of reflecting large amounts of heat and their durability is close to none. They create an air cushion both below and above thus forming an insulation for cold too and such would mean saving on electricity.

A photovoltaic technology is capable to be achieved. This could be done through placement of solar cells as tiny embedment onto the primary metal. This technology serves the purpose that the roof offers electricity by harnessing energy from the sun. It is an expensive acquisition but for a long term perspective it actually saves on costs. This is through savings that could have been meant for payment of regular electricity.

Wind turbines have gained popularity as well. A panel of tine gas turbines is laid on to the top at angles which enables them to scoop in air and harvest dynamic energy as the wind blows. Climatic conditions might shift to windy seasons which would make this a good investment in that it would become the primary source of energy at that time. It might not offer such services throughout but during such a time expenditure is minimized.

Planting vegetation on the top side is an alternate method. This adds beauty to the eye since it acts as a lawn. A layer of soil is poured so that roots can hold and that can act as a habitat for flowers as well. High maintenance is required. They also enable easy flow of oxygen thus no need for an air conditioner.
