What To Look For In Reliable Coaches For Network Marketing

By Patricia Cook

Today, there are several thousands of network business coaches such that it is becoming difficult the right partner to work with you. This is more challenging when you consider the fact that most of them generate a majority of their income from training rather networking business. While most of them have run a business at one point in their lives, they might not offer the best advice because it might not be working in the current setting. Having said that, selecting the right coaches for network marketing is still possible if you know what you are looking for.

But how do you identify the right trainer? There is no standard way of partnering with the right coach. But as a guide, look for somebody who has gone through where you are currently because he or she will be able to pick you up and walk you through the right route. Other than this, you also need to have a checklist of some of the key attributes that you should look for in a mentor. Below are some of the important things to look out for.

The first thing to find out is the period your prospective coach has been in practicing networking. Do not get it wrong. It is still okay to work with a successful newcomer who knows how to put his act together. However, you are better off learning from someone who is experienced. Target someone who has run a business for more than three years. It best if you can find someone who has failed before but managed to rise again.

Another thing that you have to establish is where most of their current income comes from. If a significant portion originates from training, then that might not be the best fit. In our context, a successful teacher should be also a successful network marketer. Like all forward-looking businessmen, you need to learn what is practically working today.

In addition to above, please also seek to know the level they are in their company. This will help you to know if there is still room for growth or they are contented with generating money from training and coaching. So, are they still optimizing, testing, executing, and improving the performance of their outfits.

One of the ways for testing the above is to ask them what kind of activities they are implementing currently to bring in more income. A good networking person will have a clear plan of what they do on a monthly basis, if not daily. Nothing beats a trainer who walks his or her talk. So, you do not need coaches who just preach.

After you are through with the above checklist, ask yourself if what your prospective trainers are offering is something tangible. One way of finding out this is to ask if they have systems and process in place. Ideally, you expect to go through the exact steps they went through to get to where they are. While this will depend on execution, it is always good to work with something replicable.

Finally, you need to trust your guts. If you doubt anything, stop for a minute to scrutinize. The above list will help you in case you are stuck on the way.
