Every company is investing in their employees and with the amount of profit that they provide the company, it is a simple return of investment, however what if you come across a task that can be done in a short period of time. Would you still hire permanent employees just to keep paying them even if their job is done and within the next months they will be just relaxing being paid without doing anything. Now comes the question of what is the difference between a temporary employee and independent contractors. Because there are some cases that these two are often confused with being one and the same. When in reality they are too different to be in the same ground as each other. Here are some of the differences between the two.

Meanwhile independent contractors, they do not need to be supervised at all, they have professionals that can handle task on their own.

Another advantages is that they are for short term employment only, that means that you do not have to pay them like all the other employees which is based on the time they spend in the office, but they are paid by the outcome of their services, or per task that has been accomplish.

For example, if you want them to upgrade your system, they will need some parts that will be placed or installed in the computers, you have to buy those video cards or other additional device. But they will bring along the tools in order to install those devices.

Contractors are often hired for a specific job that does not really centralize on the company, most of these contractors work to do maintenance regardless if it is the computer system or cleaning the entire office or other company premises. While on the other hand employees work is focused on the companys production and other services that it offers to its costumer and clients.

For security contractors, you must hire this individual for a private event that needs to have security personnel to assure the safety of the people in the event. And to prevent any emotional outburst that is because of too much alcohol in the system.
