You can place on the mark right on the inside and outside part of your pail just to be sure. Leave it for an entire day and go back to it right after twenty four hours is over. If the level of water is still the same as marked then there are no leaks but if there was reduction then better start finding where the leaks are.

There are three areas you have to check on for leaks. First is right at the plumbing parts of your pool. You could check on that through observing the filtering machines. It has certain level of water and if there were loss on the water in there, it indicated leaking for the plumbing system.

To check out the liners of your pool, what you need to do is run some detection. Its quite hard to do so but what you need to do is look at the parts of the liners closely and you would know whether damages are there or not. This will need some light check up, primary drains checking and the likes.

And finally, try to take some time to look at your concretes. If there are cracks on its surface then that is probably where leakage are. You may be able to test this one out through food coloring tests. Just make sure that your have the pump turned like at least an hour before you start the test.
