Oil a 23cm by 33cm baking dish, and then pour in the pasta. Cover the top of the pasta well with the sliced mozzarella. Using the Parmesan that had earlier remained, sprinkle it over the pasta. Bake it till you notice a light brown color. It should bake for about half an hour. Serve it once it is ready.
For marinara sauce, one'll need 2tbsp extra-virgin oil; medium diced onion; 3 chopped cloves garlic; 800g canned tomatoes (whole, peeled and roughly chopped); 12g of salt; Sprig of fresh basil; Sprig of fresh thyme and Black pepper (freshly ground)
Once this is done, remove the herb sprigs and discard them. Add in the salt and then season with pepper to taste. It can be used immediately or alternatively it can be covered and stored in a refrigerator for a period of up to 3 days.
