Right Application Of Self Tanning Lotion

By Haywood Hunter

In previous times, lotions or creams were not used for tanning purposes this is because, people preferred to sun bath as it was regarded as the best and the most natural way of getting tanned. Although sun bathing is good for you but to a certain extent, if you do it excessively it could damage your skin and in severe cases it might even lead to skin cancer. This is the basic reason behind the reality why people have turned to self tanning lotion these days.

There are so many brands and products available out there in the market nowadays. Also, manufacturers try to use organic and natural ingredients in their products so that people feel comfortable to use them in any settings.

With the help of advancement in technology it has become extremely possible to get an even skin tone. Also, lotions are regarded as a very easy way out because you are able to achieve that bronze look without any hassle at all. Whereas, previously people used to spend hours and days to get themselves tanned naturally underneath the sun.

Before you apply the lotion, there are a few things that you must keep in mind. One of such thing is to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients that are present in your lotion. Also, prefer to buy a product that consists of natural and organic ingredients instead of chemical substances because use of chemicals can damage your skin in the long run.

Additionally, read the name precisely and any known reaction so you are mindful if anything happens, what you need to do. With a specific end goal to accomplish magnificent results, take a stab at shedding your skin and purify it appropriately. A while later when you will apply the result, the skin will seem shining and extremely sparkly.

You should apply the tan lotion only when your skin is perfectly dry and smooth because if you try to apply it when your skin is wet. It will give out very bad results. Apply a thin and even layer and spread it all across your body. Avoid areas near your hair, eyebrows and eyes and if by accident, you get it in your eyes or hair, clean it thoroughly.

Apply every where, don't leave anything at all, otherwise every one could easily identify that you have put a lotion or cream on. Once the application is done, wash your hands with soapy water. Don't wear tight clothes until the solution is completely absorbed. Also, do not take a shower straight away. Wait for at least 30 minutes and then take a shower.

Reapply the tan on a regular basis if you want to maintain a healthy and radiant looking skin. The colour and shade of tan that you choose must compliment you because a shade too darker or too light might make you look awfully unattractive. For instance, if you have selected a very light shade. It might look like you have massaged in a lot of foundation all over your body. Whereas a darker shade will make the skin colour too dull and it can be clearly observed that you have applied a wrong shade.
