Why Many People Are Switching To Use Of Sun Self Tanner Lotions

By Haywood Hunter

Sunless tanning, a process of darkening and glowing the skin, has become a safe alternative for many people who want to complement their beauty. Using the Sun Self Tanner lotions can give the dark shade of skin, which makes one look gorgeous. Some decades ago, it was common for people to sub bath as one way of tanning the skin but owing to the side effects, many people are now shying away from such practices.

The risks are huge when people indulge in sunbaths to tan their skin. This is because of the dangerous UV light from the sun, which is known to penetrate through the skin causing sunburns and many long-term negative effects such as skin cancer. Thanks to new inventions such as the self-tanning lotions, whose effects are considered safe.

Avoiding the sun as your main source of tanning is also very helpful. Limiting the hours when you are exposed to excessive sunrays will help in a big way. The essence of being out in the sun apart from just tanning is getting vitamin D. Vitamin D can be obtained from some foods and drinks. Eating tuna and taking orange juice will help much.

When a single dead blood cell gets in to the blood system, it can easily be transported to other parts of the body. Dead blood cells in the blood streams can cause cancer. On the other hand, using fake tan products to get bronzed skin could also have negative effects. Some skins react differently with skin.

The folded areas should be dealt with more vigilance, and you should take your time on these areas. If you have any spots that have shown excess tanner, you can use a towel or wash cloth to remove them. This particularly happens in the creased and folded skin as well as in knuckles. In some cases, some tan lotions may have different procedures depending on the manufacturer.

Irritation is a sign that one should not proceed with the application of a lotion or tan gel products. Some irritation may need immediate intervention of a dermatologist. When you use the self-tan products, apply them in a circular motion to have an even spread of the tan. Start with your face and neck downwards. Apply it well on your shoulders, chest, and the stomach.

A strap or paintbrush can be used, when applying the product on your back. Use your blow drier to dry yourself gently on all the places before starting the actual tan process. A few seconds are enough to get you completely dry. When spreading tan lotions on skin, shaving may be require. However, this is not mandatory as people with sensitive skin can as well avoid a shave because it can lead to skin irritation.

For better results, applying some moisturizers on troubled spots can work wonders. Knees elbows, feet, and hand are some of the troubled spots. Doing this will prevent the spots from being too dark. Applying the tanning lotion using loofah gloves protects your hand from getting orangey. Be sure to apply everywhere and not leave some spots unreached. However, you should not apply any on soles and palms.
